The King Is Dead (...Long Live Democracy)

The Supreme Court has taken a big step toward demanding the crown that King George has been parading around in for the last few years. Now he'll have to settle for being just a, ya know, President. Detailed analysis here.

BTW, think I'm being a liberal alarmist jerk? Read this - this Administration has people working round the clock to grab as much power as it can.

Fortunately with this same verdict, it appears, the Supreme Court has severely limited (or really brought back to reality) the prez's powers.

Over at Slate.com, there's an interesting Breakfast table between Walter Dellinger and Dahlia Lithwick about the Supreme Court decisions of the past few weeks. Particularly interesting to me were parts 11 and 12 from Walter explaining how this is "the most important decision on Presidential Power. Ever." http://www.slate.com/id/2144476/entry/2144825/

It is a long read if you start from the beginning, but I found it a very interesting conversation on the Supreme Court rulings.

So hopefully, this verdict will apply to the topic of TCSDaily.com's article and all other Presidential directives.

I hope you and Sam are doing well and have a good weekend!
